Republic Bank Launches $3 Million Community Loan Fund

Republic Bank & Trust Company lanches $3 Million Community Loan Fund. The purpose of the Fund is to promote business development, and support small businesses. In addition, the Fund is intended to focus on a broad range of businesses, within multiple industry segments, and job creation in moderate to low income communities.  

Loans will be available to businessese in an amount up to $50,000. The Fund will initially focus on businesses from the Louisville Kentucky area, and then expand to other communities with a Republic Bank presence. The bank has seven locations in the Tampa metropolitan area in Florida. “We’re stepping forward to help meet the needs of members of our community who have struggled because of inequity and inadequate access to financial capital,” said Steve Trager, Chairman and CEO.
